Job Responsibilities

The Revenue Cycle Specialist is responsible to support the department with all on-going functions and projects and reports to the Revenue Cycle Director.

Primary Duties:

• Assist in researching and responding to individual patient billing related questions/concerns that enter the department via phone calls or written correspondence
• Send direction regarding specific account activity to third party billing company contact
• Assist patients in understanding the Financial Assistance application and process applications received
• Assist patients by discussing collection account balances when questions arise
• Accept and process patient payments over the phone 
• Work with collection agency on needed follow up
• Prepare and submit insurance appeals
• Reach out to health plans as needed
• Provide exam estimates for insured and uninsured patients
• Partner with other departments as needed when Revenue Cycle expertise is required 
• Organize and store department documents and data for future use
• Send letters to patients as needed
• Contribute and share knowledge on team projects
• Attend meetings as required
• Assist in formatting and updating of departmental policies and procedures
• Sort and distribute department mail
• Other duties as assigned

Experience/Education:

• Five years of healthcare billing department or revenue cycle experience preferred
• AA degree preferred

Pay: $20.29 - $30.87 DOE

Successful, well established, Radiology Group in Bellingham, WA, is currently seeking a FT RDMS credentialed Sonographer  for our busy outpatient department.  Shifts are M-F, 10 hour shifts, rotating day off, no call, potential for weekend shifts in the future.  Potential candidates must have the ability to perform accurately and efficiently abdomen, pelvic, small parts, hernias, and obstetrical.  Prefer a strong background in obstetrical scanning.  Experience in shoulder ultrasounds and pediatric scanning a plus.  Strong computer skills necessary.  Experience with PACS and structured reporting helpful.   Preferred 2 years experience in an outpatient clinical setting.  
Pay:  Hiring pay $43.00 - $51.62 DOE
